Paʻa Pōhaku, Kono Iʻa – Fish Gather When a Strong Foundation is Set
From Hiʻilei Kawelo and the rest of the guys over at Paepae O Heʻeia, who steward an amazing 80-acre Hawaiian fishpond in Heʻeia, Kāneʻohe:
Paepae o Heʻeia is having a fundraiser event called “Paʻa pōhaku, kono iʻa” on Kamehameha Day, Wednesday, June 11th from 12:30-3:30pm
at Hula Grill Waikiki (upstairs from Duke’s). If you have the day off, please join us. There’ll be 7 pupu stations by Hula Grill and music by Kupaoa. We have amazing donated items to raffle off from Sig Zane, Kealopiko, Papahana Kuaola, Kapua Kawelo, Hiʻilei Kawelo, Kimi Makaiau, Whole Foods, Keith Maile, Cactus, SWAM, Heʻeia Kea Pier General Store & Deli, Meala Bishop, Mahealani Botelho, Nanko’s and the list keeps growing by the day. In addition we have some homemade goodies to add to the raffle including inamona, dried heʻe and dried fish.
