Loko iʻa workday at ʻAimakapā (Hawaiʻi)

Work at ‘Aimakapā Fishpond will begin at 8am and last until just before lunch. Light snacks will be provided but please bring any extra food or snacks you may want.
Please meet at the Visitor Center at 8am for introductions and a safety briefing.
For this workday, the majority of work will focus on hand removal of non-native invasive vegetation from the dryland areas surrounding the south shore of the fishpond.
Close-toed shoes are required for work at the fishpond. Sturdy, thorn proof shoes are recommended as we will be working in and around kiawe thorns. A hat, sunscreen, long sleeve shirt and long pants are recommended. Water, tools, and gloves will be provided.
