Please join us to care for Kīholo Fishpond!
Our monthly Ka Loko o Kiholo fishpond is being shifted to March 26th, and we hope you can join us to continue to care for this wahi pana.
With your kokua, you will be revitalizing the fishponds of Kīholo by removing invasive plants from the pond edge and clearing old debris.
The efforts to clean up the fishponds will make space for native plants to thrive, reduce sediment inputs into the fishpond, and improve water quality for fish to grow.
Please feel free to invite friends, ohana and keiki!
Please bring:
- Hat/sunscreen/Bathing Suit
- Hiking Boots/Tabis (Water Shoes)*
- Gloves*
- Protective Clothing
- Water Bottle
- Hand tools (Loppers, hand saws)*
- Beach Chair
*We can provide if you don’t have any.
Please RSVP (rmost@tnc.org) by Thursday, March 24th!
The gate will be open from 8:30-9:00 am, and from 1:30-2:00 pm. Directions and details will be emailed the day before the event on 3/25.
